In general, it is more convenient to rent an apartment in the centre of the city (apartments in Kiev) but if you really prefer the hotel style and want to live in an hotel room, then there are in Kiev different hotels you can enjoy, depending on your budget and on what you want to do there;).

For about 400 euro a night, you can enjoy a very nice place to be....so only if you have the budget and plan to really enjoy 24H special in a good company;)...

In Kiev you can also find old style post soviet palace, still very good, not as new as the Hyatt but very good and for a much better price:

Near Maidan, in front of Marinsky park, rooms with nice views on the river and sunset in Kiev... The 4 star Hotel “Dnipro” is located right in the main street of Kiev, Khreshchatyk street, opposite the National Philharmonic Society and 150 metres from National Music Conservatory. The hotel has a great range of bars - one with panoramic views of the city. On week ends, single standard room will cost you about 60 euro. Also that hotel has a very nice restaurant with view on the city and river, where you can eat but also go just for a tea or a drink, from 12H till 23H every night... good to know for a romantic ambience with a view;)..

This 3 stars Hotel is located on the Khreshchatyk, the main street of Kyiv, in the very city center of the Ukrainian capital between European square and Independence square, what ensure its utilization for residents as advance, connected with its location, including  Direct neighbourhood to administrative, cultural and historical centre of the city, Great variety of trade centres, restaurants, cafes, cinemas, theatres and other entertainment business objects. Convenient means of transport, presence of ordered, lighted and guarded parking place for vehicles. Prices begin from 70 euro for one night!

This 3 stars hotel located on a hill allows to see the all city from it's rooms...located not far from the centre (direct street and stairs to “Palats sportu”), allows you to be near the center in a big hotel. Prices start at 75 euros a night. 
 
Of course there are a lot of hotels in Kiev available, so if you really want to book a hotel room, and do not want to lose time searching in the internet, the best way will be to pass by a local agency where people speak English, French and Spanish:
