A nice museum to discover ukrainian paintings of the 17, 18, 19 and 20 century.
You will find in the national museum of art of kiev diferent kind of paintings: portaits of diferent mens, women, groups of people that reflects situation of ukrainian society in diferent period ukrainian history , in diferent period of the year (difernet seasons) and from diferent part of the society.Also, a lot of paintings of countryside, citys, and drawings and sculptures...
not to miss: the lady day of alexander mirashko (1909), the bride of alexander fedir krychevskyi (1910), the 8 march love of oksana pavlenko, women of hot countries of david burlyuk (1921), receiving to the komsomol of sergiy gryhoryev (1949), soldrier's wife of victor zaretskiv (1987).
all the diferent kind of style of paintings of the begining of the 20's are in this museum.
Also, clasic portaits of 1840-1900, religious paintings of 1700-1800...
